LEARNING TO SEE AND HEAR THE VOICE OF GOD IN EVERY SITUATION

As human beings we do not like to experience suffering. In many moments in our life we ask God to take away that pain, be it physical, emotional or spiritual.

Spiritual direction is learning to see God in the midst of all things and being able to hear his voice, whatever the situation we are experiencing.

When we can hear his voice in the midst of pain, loneliness, uncertainty... that is where there is an opportunity to grow and experience transformation.

Spiritual life is partly a mystery: we need spaces of solitude to be able to meet with God. At the same time, we cannot live our spiritual life in solitude.

Although we need moments of solitude to meet and know God, we also need spiritual guides--friends to whom we can be accountable and who challenge us in our spiritual growth.  We need people who can be a safe place where we can open our soul and help us to get closer to God.

The individual spiritual direction sessions we offer are not counseling sessions. The objective is to position yourself so that you can hear the voice and direction of God in the midst of the situation you are experiencing.
